An attic space presents designers with an honest question: Do you fight against the geometry — or do you make it the idea?

For Penthouse M in Mödling, the answer was clear from the start. The sloping roof, the ceiling heights, the natural light—all of this was not to be concealed, but rather consciously incorporated. But before that was possible, intervention was necessary: A non-load-bearing wall fragmented the bedroom and robbed it of any sense of spaciousness. Removing it was the first and most important decision—because only then did the room that truly supports everything emerge.

The bedroom became the design centerpiece of the project. The custom-made headboard gives the room support and character, while the light from the skylights showcases it – calm, warm, with an atmosphere you feel before you can name it.

Wood, natural stone and warm tones connect the penthouse with its surroundings — not as a quotation, but as an attitude.
