A basement that ends up as storage is nothing unusual. Full of unused space, poor lighting, and the feeling that this room never really belonged. The client wanted to change exactly that — to create a place where he and his wife could leave the everyday behind.
The idea was clear from the start: stone, wood, living green and fire — four elements that together create an atmosphere you cannot force. The vertical gardens run through every area, connecting the lounge, bar and wellness zone into a whole. The existing sauna was not ignored but embedded — part of a space that feels like a different world.
In the lounge area, a stone wall and fireplace give the room its character. The bar with wood paneling and wine rack invites you to linger, before or after using the sauna. Every detail — down to the illuminated shelf with scented candles next to the sauna — has a place and a reason.
